i have a funny bug too.
because the Shining blade camp dialogue now triggers required quests, i cant move forward.
my party zoned before the second dialogue finished, so i didn't get the quest ' ebon vanguard allies '
but when i came back to re-watch it, the 3 dialogue started. so now, salma is in LA, and i dont have the quest i need. i can accept bounties, but i cant watch the Gwen + Kerian dialogues, i cant kill the inquisitors, and i cant progress in the WiK

It still isn't fixed for me. I read that they've already done a bunch of bug fixes on it though, but I'm still suffering from the same problems that they've supposedly fixed...

I managed to get my lack of ebon vanguard allies quest resolved by talking to Murro again in LA. even though he orginally gave the WiK quest and had nothing more to say at the time.

For me..it looks like the whole Wik chain just reseted..i completed Riverside assasination which i had in my log before updates and couldn't get any quests after that..so after speaking with Murro and then checking back salma after watching all the dialogues..im now getting all the Inquisitor quests again.

hopefully i can finish the whole chain now.

Ok to me the "fixing" had to do the the line of questing/solo missions with respects to Hearts of the North.

Since that update though people were/are having issues the War In Kryta line of questing from Princess Salma.

I had the first quest in my quest log ready to do BEFORE the updates. I completed the first quest after the updates, received my reward, and was NOT offered the second quest.

It almost seems like it wants me to go do the missing vanguard questing from EOTN in order to keep going, then do A Good Deed..... but that shouldnt be. The fact is I met the requirements to do War In Kryta and already started it.

Thus... the bug is still in effect for me. Cant get the second quest in War In Kryta series.....

I can not get this quest "Riverside Assassination". I have completed all the wanted quests but Riverside Assassination won't show up... Does this mean I can not complete this quest line?

Also another issue I gave thackery all the items for the scavenger hunt but when i go into the HoM and the 2 npcs that are suppose to talk aren't there.

So I have an update that may help a few of you.

WARNING: There are spoilers below, you have been warned......

My guildies and I were able to finally get me back on track with the WIK storyline by doing the following.

First, you have to get the WIK main quest from the NPC standing to the left side of the stairs Sergeant Sergio stands on in LA. Additionally, any other quests that same NPC offers you have to grab as well.

Second, you need to complete all of these quests. Usually everyone will have finished all the way up to enlisting the ebon vanguard as allies. If you are stuck on that one, complete Thackery's scavenger hunt for his picnic. If he is not spawned outside the Eye, watch the dialogues with Gwen in the HOM. If you are like me and had watched it, but he still isn't spawned outside, go find Thackery's arrowhead and do the first mission where you play as him.

This should reset his status as an NPC and allow the continuation of the WIK questline.

SOLUTION TO SOME BUGS:

they have updated some wiki articles, check to see for substitution quests that you have probably done before that was replaced with the main quest

Well as of to-day to obtain the cloak at bettletun(Thakery) is bugged also

as only mergoyles outside and no sign of the cloak

This is my first time through WiK so I don't know what to expect and can't tell if the questline is off the rails or not. But I do know that I *had* Riverside Assassination in my log, and abandoned it today in the vein hope that by dropping all WiK related quests, I wouldn't have to fight through the mobs outside of Beetletun, just to reach Nicholas. Error.

Now, Salma won't give me the quest again. I did pick up the three quests from Murro and had the Asuran one complete for me when I spoke to Salma, but that's it. I have even started the scavenger hunt but I don't know how I'm supposed to finish it when two of the items can only be obtained during special events. Turning in the secondary items is a waste because I'm trying for a shot at armor remnants. I did get two on the two items I did turn in.

The whole questline seems quite disjointed. I'm doing quests that don't seem related, or are related but aren't in any chronological order. Apparently, one of the quests I picked up today leads to the scavenger hunt I've already started.

WiK is troublesome enough to do with the two tissue paper henchmen that are available. These weird inconsistencies and actual bugs are making the whole affair a real slog.

Anyway, I didn't mean for this to turn into a hate rant. It's still bugged for me. Can't get Riverside Assassination after ditching it earlier. I was able to get the Wanted for today, which is in the same area as the quest. Wish I could do both at the same time and save another trip.

had turned in half of the items to thackary on one of my toons prior to the 'update' or 'breaking of the system' as I call it now Thackary accepted one of the items I needed but now he won't accept another birthday cupcake because he says i cannot top the one i already gave him.... but it will not count the quest as being completed.

Well, it looked like all this was fixed in the November 19th update plus a little. However, I am going through WiK for the first time, and I cannot see the 3 bounties.

BUT, my daughter went through all of the preceding quests with me in her party, and she CAN get the three bounties. I am the only one stuck.

Any ideas?

That happened to me after finishing the quests on one of my other chars (two days ago).
In the end it got fixed when I went back to the camp and I got to see the conversation again which I had already watched (with another person as party leader).
My guess is that when you aren't the party leader it may register it and that you can continue for a while, but that after a certain point it checks what you finished and that it thinks you didn't do a certain part and stops you.
Best bet would be to rezone into any area with conversations from WiK and hope for the best. Try to walk through the steps from the beginning again, it may make it easier to not skip anything by accident.
If anyone else has any other ideas, feel free to suggest them.

Yes, that worked. So, I think your guess is correct. We did the rest of the quests and dialogues (where possible) separately, and we both made it to the end.
